After much anticipation the day's finally here!!! We went to sleep last night at about midnight after prepping everything and loading all of our gear into the van. We woke up this morning at 3:30am and left Miami with the entire gang at around 5:50am. Four of us decided to ride on the bikes. Esther and Marlene were in my van with all of our gear. Terry and Gerry were hauling 3 of the motorcycles with their truck.
We had a pretty uneventful ride up all the way until we hit Gainesville and the dark clouds started to roll in. We pulled over at a rest stop to gear up for the rain and hit it head first. Luckily it only lasted a few minutes...
About 100 miles after the storm we crossed the Florida/Georgia state line. I swear someone must have pumped up the hear about 20 degrees the minute we crossed into Georgia. We arrived in Valdosta, our stop for the night, at around 2:30pm. We unloaded the car and literally jumped into the pool to cool off.
We asked the lady at the hotel for a good place to eat and "Smoki'n Pig BBQ" was highly recommended. The food was out of this world!!!
wow the trip looks like alot of fun you guys look great. really nice cabin.
